Approach

Because MEC is a company that encourages individuals to explore the outdoors by staying active, I wanted to highlight that inspirational spirit by designing a visual system that was both whimsical and playful, but also minimalistic and clean. I chose to include simple line illustrations for icons and graphs, and contrasted them against a thick bold slab serif typeface, because in the outdoors, anything goes.
